“Vintage Throwback”
A Bath Design in Glencoe, Illinois

Bath Design Overview

Rachel Smith
Kitchen & Bath Designer

The focus for this bath was to create a retro classic style that would compliment this historic Glencoe home.

One of the challenges we faced with this older home was the small size of the master bath. By extending the bath into the bedroom we created a much more fitting master bathroom.

The design elements we utilized are clean and crisp. We put heavy focus on the detail work to create that elegant feeling of a finely finished bath.

The details matter. Here the lights and faucet deliver that vintage feeling we were seeking.

We designed this custom vanity to look an old chest of drawers. The crystal glass knobs add an elegant feel.

The shower is open and bright. A great way for our clients to start the day.

The clawfoot tub is a stunner. We love the hot water retention of these heavy cast iron tubs.

We trimmed the shower in Carrera Marble, to match the vanity counter. It’s all about the details.

A simple shower setup like this can deliver a great experience. The handheld is also great for cleaning.

The floor tile is Carrera Marble in a hexagon shape. We love the way this brings texture and drama to the bath.

Bath Design Details

This small but stylish towel rack packs a punch in the small space. We love the bling factor.

Gotta love the leg detail at the claw foot tub. The tile base molding is the icing on the cake.

This classic tub spout faucet adds to the vintage feel of the bath, and makes cleaning a breeze.
