A Kitchen Design in Palatine, Illinois
Kitchen Design Overview
Kitchen & Bath Designer
This kitchen was a fun project for 2016. When we first met with our clients Lori and Sean, we loved that they were looking for something creative and vibrant.
Lori had given the project a lot of thought, and had some interesting ideas. She was seeking a way to incorporate an industrial, farmhouse look into her Palatine home.
By using an eclectic mix of materials we were able to create a space that is not only visually impressive but functional as well.
The island was a big focus in our design process. The waterfall edge, barnwood, and handmade stools deliver the details.
I designed the floating shelves to highlight the interesting concrete tile backsplash. These are a simple way to add impact to any kitchen design.
The barn house pendant lights fit perfectly into our design. The matte black finish adds to the industrial feel.
The sink area is definitely a highlight in the space. The black faucet finish is striking and modern.
The back of the island adds so much character to the space. The reclaimed barn wood is a win.
Simple accessories like this knife holder add function to the kitchen. They look cool too.
A smashing success of a kitchen; that I loved working on. We are now designing the master bathroom, stay tuned.
